Tradition and authenticity
The Norman pizzeria pizzeria founded in November 2003 by Maestro Pizzaiolo Raffaello Angileri is located in Monreale near the "Abbiviratura" district, located on a large panoramic terrace overlooking Palermo.
It traces its origins back in 1978, when the 11-year-old Raphael learned the ancient art of pizza in the old family pizzeria "il Gattopardo" which stood in the district of Lenzitti.
In that place the Little Raphael learned the procedures in the handmade dough and the secrets of cooking with wood .. these procedures were handed down from the grandparents to the parents of the same.
Even today the simplicity and genuineness of that dough ... of the raw materials used and the tradition of wood-fired cooking ... are all peculiarities that distinguish the gastronomic activity of "Rifugio Normanno".
